About Umigumi

Umigumi is a project to simplify the generation of custom distributions based on Mandrakelinux. Umigumi can produce custom distributions for Live CD, USB Flash memory, Compact Flash memory and can even be used to automate the installation of custom distributions on regular hard disks.

Umigumi currently consists of two scripts: umibuilder and umigumi.

• umibuilder is a command line script written originally by Yoshinori Okuji to automate the production of custom distributions for the OpenBrick platform. It has been extended and made so powerful that is can now be used to produce custom distributions for any platform including Live CDs?.

• umigumi is a GUI interface to umibuilder to help beginners to install and use umibuilder.
